My work centers on helping individuals break free from generational cycles of dysfunctional patterns that are often quietly stitched into culture, family systems, society, and even parenting norms.<\/p>\n
I am a trauma-informed mental health counselor and substance abuse prevention specialist with experience supporting diverse populations in Nigeria including trafficked girls, individuals in substance abuse recovery, persons living with HIV (PLHIV), survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), and those facing various mental health challenges.<\/p>\n
My mission is to create widespread awareness that breaks the stigma around seeking help, while challenging cultural and societal norms that normalize dysfunction in African communities, especially those that impact the early years of life.<\/p>\n
I am passionate about addressing the roots of trauma in childhood, advocating for healing-centered approaches that protect children, disrupt generational cycles, and support emotional resilience from the start.<\/p>\n
Through my platform, Mental Health with Asher, we have provided free access to counseling services and created a safe, supportive community for women and girls called SOULFUL FLOW. This includes a unique wellness space where mental health support is integrated with practices like yoga, mindfulness, and emotional healing to foster holistic well-being.<\/p>\n
