Pairs to Glory and NDLEA Champion a Drug-Free Campaign through Sports at the Wassa IDP Camp.
On September 27th, 2025, Pairs to Glory Foundation, in partnership with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), led a powerful community road walk and anti-substance abuse campaign at the Wassa IDP Camp in Abuja.
The road walk marked a defining moment in our United by Sports: Every Child Deserves an Opportunity initiative bringing together children, parents, youth groups, faith organizations, and community leaders to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote healthy living through sports and structured engagement.
In a camp housing over 7,700 displaced persons, where idleness and trauma can easily drive risky behaviors, this campaign offered hope, belonging, and inspiration. Together with NDLEA officers, our team sensitized residents on the effects of substance abuse and the importance of prevention, early intervention, and community support.
Beyond the walk, the Foundation installed a football and volleyball court, giving the children and youth a safe space for play, teamwork, and personal development. We also distributed sports jerseys, kits, and safety gear to participating teams — equipping them not just for games, but for growth and confidence.
Our gratitude goes to Pizza Hut Nigeria, whose generous CSR gesture added smiles to the day as they served boxes of pizza to players and children, celebrating their effort and participation. Special appreciation also goes to our community partners and volunteers whose commitment made the event a success.
What began as desire to support athletes in vulnerable communities became a movement, one that carries a message of resilience and collective responsibility. Through sports, education, and awareness, we are building a community where children can thrive, free from drugs and fear.
Together, with NDLEA an d our partners, we are shaping safer, stronger, and drug-free communities — one child, one match, and one step at a time.
