At Pairs to Glory, we use the power of sports as a launchpad for healing, growth, and lasting change in the lives of vulnerable youth—especially those displaced or at risk. Our programmes go beyond the game to tackle trauma, build life skills, and strengthen communities from the inside out.
United by Sport: Every Child Deserves an Opportunity is a grassroots initiative reaching Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and vulnerable communities by introducing structured sports programs or supporting existing local teams. These programs offer a healthy outlet for trauma while fostering belonging, resilience, and community.
Through this initiative, we create platforms for talent discovery, mentorship, life-skills training, and mental health support. At its core, this intervention instills discipline and purpose in youth at risk of falling into cycles of crime, substance abuse, and social isolation—patterns often rooted in poverty, trauma, or lack of opportunity.
Training the influencers who shape young athletes’ lives to promote safety, discipline, and resilience.
Real change begins with those closest to the youth. This program targets caregivers, game masters, counselors, coaches, and community leaders—training them to recognize red flags, model positive behavior, and use sports to prevent crime and substance abuse.
In partnership with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), LTCP equips frontline influencers with tools to foster safe, supportive environments. In April 2025, we trained 40 leaders in trauma-informed care, early intervention, and substance abuse prevention.
Creating safer, more supportive environments for athletes through policy reform, stigma reduction, and accessible rehabilitation.
This program tackles systemic issues around mental health, addiction, and doping in sports. Through campaigns, discussions, and partnerships, we advocate for policies that prioritize athlete well-being.
We’re launching expert-led conversations to reform policies around doping and drug-related offenses in sports. Our goal is to replace punishment-only models with compassionate, education-first strategies that guide athletes toward recovery.
We’re also assessing gaps in enforcement and protection, engaging stakeholders across sports, health, and civil society. To join this justice-informed, health-centered initiative, email: asher@pairstoglory.org
A post-sports empowerment initiative for youth who are aging out or unable to continue athletics.
Not every young person will stay on the athletic path. “Beyond the Game” supports youth, especially from displaced or vulnerable communities, as they transition to new life goals beyond sports.
